Fire- and Safety-Rated Glass-Ceramic

PYRAN® Platinum fire-rated glass-ceramic products are the next generation of glass-ceramics. Produced by micro-float technology, PYRAN® Platinum fire-rated glass-ceramics, offer stunning optical quality with superior clarity and virtually no distortion. Designed especially for the North American market, PYRAN® Platinum is UL certified and passes the required hose stream test. PYRAN® Platinum glass-ceramic is environmentally friendly. It is the only fire-rated glass-ceramic that is made without the use of hazardous heavy metals arsenic, antimony and barium. Available in three versions: Monolithic, Flimed and Laminatied.

MONOLITHIC

PYRAN® Platinum monolithic fire-protection rated glazing material is 3/16" (5 mm) thick. It is intended for use in non-impact, safety-rated locations such as transoms and windows with fire-rating requirements up to 90 minutes.

FILMED

PYRAN® Platinum F (Filmed) fire-protection rated and impact safety-rated glazing material is 3/16" (5 mm) thick. It has a surface applied safety film and is intended for use in safety-rated locations such as door lites, transoms or sidelites, and windows with fire-rating requirements up to 90 minutes (up to180 minutes in doors).

PYRAN® Platinum L (Laminated) fire-protection rated and impact safety-rated glazing material is 3/8"

(9 mm). It is intended for use in safety-rated locations such as door lites, transoms or sidelites, and windows with fire-rating requirements up to 90 minutes (doors: up to 3 hours).
