Richard Freeman (Rick) founded American Insulated Glass (AIG) in 1990 to provide quality wholesale glass products directly to the residential market. AIG started in a small warehouse and mainly serviced the metro Atlanta area. We began expanding into the commercial market in 2006 and Rick partnered with William Blair (Billy) in 2014. Billy has over 35 years of experience in the industry and has played a pivotal role in our recent growth and success. We are also proud to say that we have over 100 years of combined experience within our sales force and over 60 years within our production team. We now service our customers out of a 72,000 square foot facility in Atlanta, Georgia and another plant in Pensacola, Florida. Both facilities are equipped with edging, beveling, tempering, and insulated glass lines for residential and commercial markets. AIG’s insulated and tempered products are certified by IGCC and SGCC. AIG also distributes a full line of mirrors and wholesale glass products. As a family-owned and operated business, AIG has grown to serve both residential and commercial markets by providing consistent service and quality products to its customers. Let us be your glass supplier!
Our Mission as an Organization
To act as an agency to communicate and exchange information among retailers, as it applies to the retail segment of the glass industry. We accomplish this through daily communication via an Account list and quarterly through telecommunication. This has resulted in a broadening of our resources and a strengthening of our dedication to serving the industry of glass.
To establish communication with manufacturers, wholesalers and art glass distributors, to create a better understanding of all levels of supply in the industry. This is accomplished by subscribing "guests" from various manufacturers and distributors, to our mail list in order to discuss issues relevant to the industry. This has led to a better understanding of the views from all levels of the supply structure in the glass industry.
To promote and extend knowledge among retailers of all phases of operation including, but not limited to: safety, economics, new products, processes, and inner quality training. Ideas on public interest and advertising are all shared, resulting in the best possible service to our customers.
To enhance the retail position in the insulated glass market place. In a period of increased competition at all levels of supply, this has led to a better understanding of our position in the industry, and the methods by which we can strive to improve that position.
To provide organized representation from retailers and liaison with the other organizations within the glass industry. This has given us a strong voice in the community which can only serve to improve the glass industry as a whole.
